Hey All… I’m in that Christmas sharing mood, so please bear with me for a moment while I share a thought or two… I was just sitting in front of the Christmas tree on this Christmas Eve, heavily reflecting on what it all means to me this year (I guess the heavy reflecting COULD be from the delicious liquid spirits I’ve been sipping on…)… Anyway, I’m in my nice warm home, with a loving wife, wonderful baby boy running around in awe of all of the decorations we have in the house, and plenty of homemade treats on the table. I’m waiting for our extended family members to arrive to spend the night so that they can see Logan’s face in the morning when he notices the results of Santa’s arrival. I got to thinking about those maybe not quite as fortunate as I am this season. Specifically, those that are working for this country in a place far away from home, or anything CLOSE to comfort, loved ones, or children laughing. I’m not only very grateful to these folks for the sacrifices they are making for my freedom today, but for those soldiers throughout history that have made similar sacrifices (and for many, the ultimate sacrifice) so that I can enjoy this Holiday season the American way – COMPLETELY FREE! To those in the Armed Forces today, and to those who have ever served and sacrificed, and to the families that have all been affected – THANK YOU! From the bottom of my grateful heart – THANK YOU.
