HELLO, FRIENDS!!!!
Roger here!! It's been a long time! Apologies for not posting in a while, but there has been so much going on, it seems like it's all moving by so fast!! We hope that you all are doing well!
We wanted to let you know what we have been up to during this last half of 2023, and to update you on future events regarding Terashain!!
Fist of all, as we have previously posted, we are hard at work writing for the next Terashain album/CD/download (whatever the hell it's referred to these days!! LOL)... The songs are really coming along GREAT, and I'm so excited for you all to hear this stuff!! It's definitely that signature Terashain sound, but it feels like we have learned so much about songwriting and have really put our souls into these tunes. The only negative thing about the writing process is that it takes us away from playing LIVE for you all, and that is were we are today... we have several songs written and arranged and ready to record, and this will be on our horizon in the near future.
And speaking of the future, that brings me to some bittersweet news about the band... Guitarist Steve Salvatore has decided to leave the band and focus on his many other activities, including Grandfatherhood!! While we are sad to see Steve go, we are excited for him, and we will root for all of his other projects, including his Elton John tribute "Candle in the Wind"... We have had a great time working with Steve, and we wish him the best... He will ALWAYS be a brother in the Terashain family.
SO, with that announcement, Tim, Lance, and I have also decided that NOW is the time to recruit NOT just ONE guitarist for Terashain, but to add a SECOND guitar to the line up!! It's time to beef up the sound, and the new songs we are writing will absolutely benefit from the fullness of dual guitars. While, of course, we are looking for talented players on the guitar, we are looking for new BROTHERS! This thing has been a family to us for over 33 years, and it's important that we find a couple of players that understand that, and that will fit the bill. We are fortunate to ALREADY have some great names that are already on our list of candidates, but we owe it to the project to search for ANY and ALL players that can fit into the family, while making the Terashain sound the best that it can be. The holidays are a crazy time, and we are going to be gathering names of potential players, and hopefully be able to start auditions in January.
